Dense clouds will dominate in many places today, although brief brightenings are possible from time to time. In the south-west of the country in particular, the sun will shine more often and ensure friendly weather conditions. In the far east, it will remain largely dry until the evening. However, rain and showers are to be expected in the rest of the country. The snow line will drop from the west to between 2000 and 1500 meters above sea level. The wind will blow moderately to briskly from a westerly to north-westerly direction on the northern side of the Alps, which may cause some strong gusts, especially at higher altitudes. Temperatures in the morning will be between 7 and 15 degrees Celsius, depending on the region. During the day, highs will rise to between 12 and 18 degrees Celsius.
Outlook for Sunday
Sunday will begin in the alpine regions in the north (northern Alps), with some heavier residual clouds, which may bring a few raindrops into places. Locally, the day may also start with light fog, which will clear in the course of the morning. Apart from that, we can expect a largely undisturbed, sunny start to the day. As the day progresses, a few shallow spring clouds will form, but these will not bring any precipitation. In the evening, denser clouds will gather in the west, but rain is not expected here either. The wind will blow moderately, sometimes briskly in the east from a north-westerly to northerly direction, which can also cause fresh breezes here. Temperatures in the morning hours will range between 3 and 10 degrees Celsius. During the day, highs will reach between 12 and 17 degrees Celsius.
